The Ambition
Named after Obayan, one of the five legendary Arabian mares, the Obaya Lounge required a brand identity that celebrated this noble lineage while appealing to the hotel’s sophisticated clientele. Insignia’s set out to build a brand that embodied equine grace, craftsmanship, and cultural pride, translating centuries of tradition into a modern symbol of hospitality and taste.
The Approach
We needed to balance symbolism with lifestyle, creating a brand that could feel timeless yet tactile, and treated Obaya Lounge as a living narrative where culture, beauty, and emotion come together in equilibrium.
- We explored the cultural significance of the Arabian horse, studying its anatomy, form, and role in regional storytelling to extract visual and emotional cues.
- Developed a visual system anchored in sculptural geometry and organic flow, reflecting the duality of power and grace.
- Selected a palette of muted earth tones, brushed metals, and calligraphic linework to convey warmth, endurance, and refinement.
- Structured design principles that maintain coherence across collateral, packaging, and spatial environments, ensuring fluid continuity from print to experience.
- Presented Obaya Lounge as an environment where luxury carries the rhythm of perpetual motion.
The Outcome
Obaya Lounge is an emblem of Arabian sophistication within the Four Seasons portfolio. The brand identity, distinguished by its angular typography, brushed gold accents, and painterly equine motifs, captures the essence of nobility and motion. Textures, materials, and tones evoke the finesse of handcrafted saddlery, while the identity system unites culture with contemporary simplicity.
